Editorial Review from Product Description
Tai Chi will be introduced as an olympic sport for the first time in the 2008 Olympic Games. The instruction of the 42 Forms presented in this two DVD set will be the official Tai Chi Form in the 2008 Olympics Games. This form is based on the four major styles of Tai Chi: Yang, Chen, Sun and Wu. The 42 forms are considered by most to be one of the best set of Tai Chi forms ever created. Today, these forms are the most widely recognized set used in practice and in competition worldwide. This set of Forms is suitable for almost anyone and is gaining popularity rapidly since its creation in 1990.
The forms in this video are shown in a step-by-step manner. After the initial instruction of each form is completed from a front view, a review of it is shown from the back, also with verbal instructions so you will be able to easily follow along with me.
To make it easy to learn, the 42 forms in this video have been broken down into a two DVD set. Each DVD contains three sections. Each section contains seven forms. Instruction is provided for each form shown with two views, front and back.
At the end of each section, a demonstration of that section follows with verbal cues given from a back view. Verbal cues are given with the back view so you can practice along with me without having to watch the TV screen.
Once you feel comfortable having completed a section, you will be able to easily move on to a new section. After the conclusion of all sections, a final demonstration of the entire form is shown, also from the front and back. You will find this a most valuable!
Finally, please remember that with continuous practice, you will see health benefits!
